Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·        Develops advanced methods, processes, algorithms, tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Tableau) to extract meaningful data from structured and unstructured data, images, and other information sources to answer scientific questions.

·        Develops and leads data science efforts that integrate technologies to gather and extract meaning from data.

·        Contributes to and validates writing code in programming languages (e.g., R, Python) to create data visualizations, including interactive dashboards, charts, and graphs.

·        Performs validation to ensure the data are FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable), traceable, and compatible with the organizational goals.

·        Develops and provides instruction in the use of data science tools with a focus on R and Python.

·        Serves as a subject matter expert in data science.
